What account types are available?
NYS Markets may offer different account models, including Instant Accounts and evaluation-based accounts such as Step accounts.
Each account type is designed for a different trader profile. Some traders prefer the direct access of an Instant Account, while others prefer to complete an evaluation process before reaching the Live stage.

What is an Instant Account?
An Instant Account gives traders direct access to an NYS trading account without needing to complete evaluation phases first.
This account type is ideal for traders who want to start trading immediately while following the account requirements shown on the website and dashboard.
How do 2-Step accounts work?
2-Step accounts are evaluation-based accounts.
Traders complete the required objectives for each phase before moving to the next phase or Funded stage. In the 2-Step Challenge, the profit target is 8% in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2.
How do I move to the next phase on the website?
To access your next phase, please follow these steps:
- Open the NYS Markets website and log in to your profile.
- Go to the Accounts section.
- Find your account and click Go to Dashboard.
- Use the details shown there to access your next phase account.
Once this process is completed, your certificate will be generated automatically.
